This unique wall hanging is created by a knotting craft technique called Macrame, which is a technique that uses brading and knots to create various textiles.

Macrame was an art form that was brought from Arabic countries. Weavers from this part of the world used several knotting techniques to finish the edges of woven tapestries, rugs, and shawls with fringe. While making these pieces they first pick the type of thread/ material to use and mount it on a wooden stick and begin knotting. Using different types of knots repeatedly it forms the desired shape and there are tassels made by opening the twists of the material and then finished by trimming the edges.

Every handmade offering is unique. Minor variations from the product displayed can be expected.
